Show and Tell Friday

I thought today I would share the awards No. 1 and Stinky have received so far this year in Bible Quizzing. They have been doing an amazing job and have improved at each tournament. The kids have had to memorize 272 verses this year - and they are hard! The study this year is Bible Heroes from the Old Testament. There are a lot of big names and unusual sentence structures. The team started out the year placing 5th and in the May tournament they placed 1st. They have improved tremendously! We have one more quiz, State finals, coming up in June. We are very proud of all the hard work they have done to hide God's Word in their hearts! It will be with them forever!

As always don't forget to check out the other posts in Show And Tell Friday!

P.S. Please check out my home page. I would love to have your thoughts on some home decor "issues" ; ) Thanks!

Mrs. H

That is so precious! I wish more churches would get back to the important issues of getting God's Word into the youths' hearts instead of entertaining them.

Your sons have achieved a very worthwhile goal. May they always be blessed!

Congratulations on a job well done!! It's nice to hear that Bible Quizzing is still around. I was on an all-girls team when I was 14 and 15. We didn't get far but it was so fun and it's a wonderful way to memorize scripture. I had the entire book of James and Romans memoried!

I agree that what you learn as a child sticks with you. I can still say many of the verses I learned growing up. I give prizes each week to the children in our fellowship that memorize verses.
